Mr. House gave an engaging and informative presentation, sharing the history of the Foundation and its focus on youth, economic development, and building a vibrant community. He highlighted many of the impactful community projects supported by the Foundation and provided valuable insight into the grant opportunities available to organizations such as Altrusa MHC.

Time of Remembrance for Nancy Cochrane Bryant
ALTRUSA INTERNATIONAL OF MARTINSVILLE/HENRY COUNTY VA
Altrusa MHC remembers with love and gratitude our dear member, Nancy Bryant, who joined our club in 2016. Nancy faithfully served in many roles, including chair of the Service Committee, Club President, and leader of our yard sales. She also hosted our monthly meetings at First United Methodist Church and spearheaded the collection of plastic bags that provided a community bench outside one of our local libraries.
Nancy was dedicated, hardworking, and always ready to lend a helping hand. She loved the beach, cherished her family, and gave her time generously to many organizations, as well as to her church where she was a faithful member. Her love for her community was evident through everything she did.
Nancy will be deeply missed by her family, our club, and our community. Yet her spirit will live on in the heart of Altrusa and in the lasting impact she made through her service and friendship.
Together for Literacy: A Community Collaboration
A heartfelt THANK YOU to MHC Partners for Children/United Way of Martinsville for their generous donation of 100 children’s books to Altrusa MHC!
These books will soon be placed in our Little Free Laundromat Libraries across the community—bringing the joy of reading to children where they live, play, and learn. 💙
A special shout-out to Erica James and Ruth Anne Collins for your kindness and continued support. Together, we’re making stories more accessible—one book at a time! 🙌
